The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday dipped further by N84 billion, amid sell pressure embarked on by some investors.

The market capitalisation, which opened at N9.868 trillion, lost N84 billion or 0.85 per cent to close at N9.784 trillion following huge loses by some blue chip equities.

Also, the All-Share Index shed 245.34 points or 0.85 per cent to close at 28,488.56 compared with 28,733.90 achieved on Monday.

Mr Ambrose Omordion, the Chief Operating Officer, InvestData Ltd., attributed the market trend to falling macroeconomic indices and government unclear policy direction.
