NSE All-Share Index up by 117.31 points

Equity transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ended on Friday on the upbeat note with the All-Share Index improving by 117.31 points.
The Index rose by 0.39 per cent to close at 29,511.08 in contrast to 29,393.77 achieved on Thursday.
The market capitalisation, which opened at N10.108 trillion, grew by N40 billion or 0.39 per cent to close at N10.148 trillion.
Unilever topped the gainers’ table with N2.10 to close at N44.10 per share.
UACN followed with a gain of N1.60 to close at N35, while Oando oil gained 90K to close at N11.55 per share.

Seplat appreciated by 82k to close at N226.03, while Nigerian Breweries rose by 50k to close at N124.50 per share.

Conversely, Guinness led the losers’ chart with a loss of N10.63 to close at N128, while Nestle trailed with a loss of N10 to close at N820 per share.

Betaglas lost N2.15 to close at N40.85, while Total Oil dipped N1.49 to close at N150.50 per share and Cadbury dipped N1.35 to close at N25.79 per share.
A total volume of 277.808 million shares worth N2.69 billion were traded in 3,827 deals.
The volume represented 1.51 per cent increase over the 273.676 million shares valued at N2.89 billion traded in 3,733 deals on Thursday.
The Financial Service Sector sustained its leading position as the toast of investors with 20.85 million shares worth N49.49 billion in 1,531 deals.

The banking sub-sector drove activities in the sector accounting for 127.46 million shares valued N676.44 million achieved in 1,093 deals.
