The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), has tasked its special female squad to demonstrate high sense of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Dr Ahmed Audi, Commandant General NDCDC, stated this on Thursday at the passing out parade of 270 female special squad in Minna.

He said that the Corps would continue with its strategy of training and retraining of its personnel for efficiency and effectiveness.

Audi, who was represented by Bello Argungu, said he was impressed with the performance of the female personnel that were also trained on weapons handling.

Audi commended the Niger state government for its support to all security agencies in the state and called for more to succeed.

Reviewing the parade, Niger state Governor, Abubakar Bello, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Hannatu Salihu, pledged to provide security agencies necessary supports in the discharge of their duties.

Commandant of the Corps in the state, Ahmed Dandare identified inadequate funds as one of the factors militating against smooth operations of the Corps and stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to move forward.

Dandare explained that the new female squad as well as the training and retraining of its personnel was aimed at promoting and enhancing professionalism in the service.

Deputy Commandant Samson Friday, NSCDC Head of Training Department, said that the special female squad would be posted to educational sector to protect lives and properties.
