NPFL: Sunshine Stars continue unbeaten run by whipping El-Kanemi Warriors 3-0

Hosts Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure on Sunday continued their recent impressive run of form in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) by whipping El-Kanemi Warriors FC 3-0.
The fixture played at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure saw Afolabi Okiki putting his team in the lead in the 15th minute from the penalty kick spot.
Isiaka Oladuntoye extended their lead in the 49th minute, before Dayo Ojo take the game beyond the Maiduguri-based visitors in the 90th minute from the penalty kick spot.
Sunshine Stars have been undefeated in the last six matches, both home and away this season.

Ladan Bosso, El-Kanemi FC’s Head Coach, told newsmen after the Match Day 12 fixture that the better team won the encounter.

Solomon Ogbeide, Sunshine Stars’ Technical Adviser, said he was delighted with the performance of his team.

Ogbeide said the team would continue to fight until they achieve their aim.
Sunshine Stars now have 14 points from 10 matches.
