Head Coach of Rivers United and former Coach of Super Eagles, Finidi George, has expressed huge delight over the victory recorded over Enyimba Football Club at the weekend.
Rivers United defeated Enyimba 2-0 in a match the Aba Elephants dominated possession but were unable to register a goal.
Finidi said it was a tough match for Rivers but he was happy about the resilience of his wards in his new club.
Finidi said: “It was a tough match. I knew Enyimba very well and I told my guys to cope with the pressure and create opening to score. We did just that to win and I am happy about it.
“The coach and the players are all familiar with my style and I had to adjust a little to ensure Rivers United bag the three points. It is massive and we have to take each game as it comes.”
