Mr Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has confirmed that a meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains in Adamawa State held at the house of the former vice president in Yola.
Ibe, who made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, said the meeting, which held at the weekend, was called by Abubakar for the good of the party in the North-East state.
According to him, the meeting had in attendance top APC chieftains in the state, including the party’s local government chairmen.
He, however, dismissed rumours of a brawl between members of the party at the meeting, stating that they were mere fabrications.
Ibe, also said that the insinuations of a free-for-all were “sheer exaggerations by people obsessed with undue sensationalism’’.
“Yes, there were arguments and heated debate, but there was no exchange of blows,’’ he said.
