NNPC subsidiary hits N1.8bn profit

Twenty four hours after his appointment as the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, on Wednesday, sacked the eight Group Executive Directors (GEDs) of the corporation.
They are GED, Finance and Accounts, Mr Bernard Otti; Acting Exploration and Production who also doubled as Coordinator, Corporate Planning and Strategy, Dr Timothy Okon; Engineering and Technology, Mr Adebayo Ibirogba;
Gas and Power, Dr David Ige; Commercial and Investment, Ms Aisha Abdurrahman; Corporate Services, Dr Dan Efebo; Refining and Petrochemicals, Mr Ian Udoh; and Business Development, Dr Attahiru Yusuf.
The sack order was contained in a statement by the Group General Manager, Public Affairs, NNPC, Mr Ohi Alegbe, in Abuja.
According to the statement, Kachikwu expressed gratitude to them for their services to the corporation.
It said that Kachikwu wished them success in their future endeavours.
