EFCC Football Club of Abuja on Sunday beat visiting ABS FC of Ilorin 2-0 in a 2022/2023 Nigeria National League (NNL) Group A2 Match Day 2 fixture.

In the match played at the Area 3 football pitch, the hosts took the lead in the 13th minute through a penalty kick by Nweke Ebuka.

The visiting side could not put up a smooth fightback to earn them an equaliser as their finishing let them down.

EFCC FC went on to double their lead in the 89th minute through Masood Danjuma.

Earlier in the day, hosts FWC Champions FC drew goalless with city rivals NAF FC in another 2022/2023 NNL Group A2 Match Day 2 fixture.

Both sides strived to gain advantage, but FWC Champions were more with the game dominance.

They however allowed the seeming incompetent officiating of Mohammed Edache from Niger to distract them from putting together a seamless performance.
