Nimbus Aid Project, a corporate social responsibility initiative of Nimbus Media Ltd., awarded N20 million worth of advertising support to women-led businesses, including start-ups, in Nigeria in 2022.

This is contained in a statement by the spokesman for Nimbus Aid Project, Mr Edward Israel-Ayide, on Wednesday in Lagos.

“Since its launch in 2016, Nimbus Aid Project has provided marketing support and market penetration access to 13 organizations, 11 of which are women-led.

“In 2022, the initiative awarded N20 million worth of advertising support to 10 women-led Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups in Nigeria.

“Through these efforts, over 2.8 million unique advert views have been delivered to beneficiaries across high-traffic locations in Lagos, the economic hub of West Africa,” he said.

Israel-Ayide said that the organisation’s 2022 Impact Report highlighted the importance of targeted support for SMEs, collaborative selection processes, and leveraging digital platforms to amplify impact.

According to him, Nimbus Aid Project aims to expand its support for SMEs and non-profit organisations through collaborations.

He listed Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, TechCabal, Marketing Edge, NewsCentral TV, and Carpe Diem Solutions as some of its partners.

He quoted the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nimbus Media Ltd., Mr Wale Adegoke, as expressing the vision behind the Nimbus Aid Project.

“At Nimbus Media Ltd., we believe businesses have a profound responsibility to contribute positively to society,” he quoted Adeoke as saying.

Israel-Ayide also quoted one of the beneficiaries, Mrs Oluyemi Orija, Managing Partner at HeadFort Foundation, as describing  Nimbus Aid Project as a game-changer for businesses.

“Winning the grant can change the trajectory of a business and strategically help to reach new communities,’’ he quoted Orija as saying.
