The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has paid the Super Eagles chief coach, Stehen Keshi, two months salary out of the owed seven months arrears.
This was disclosed by a board member of the football federation who preferred anonymity.
The top official of the Federation, who said is anonymity was borne out of the fact that he is not authorized to speak on the matter, noted that: “We have paid him two months salaries, and we hope to clear the rest before the end of the year.”
NFF Media Director, Ademola Olajire, on his part said that the Eagles chief coach has finally been paid part of his outstanding salaries.
The Nigeria coach has not been paid for the last seven months, and the revelation sparked outrage last month. But Olajire says that is being rectified.
“The coach has been paid part of his outstanding salary, and the Federation is working hard to pay him the rest as soon as it is possible to do so,” Olajire said, but refused to reveal the amount paid to the Eagles chief coach.
