NFF crisis: Giwa-led faction set to drag FIFA to Interpol

The current crisis rocking Nigerian football is taking another twist, with the Chris Giwa-led faction of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) set to drag the world football body, FIFA, to the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
It was gathered from a source close to the Giwa-led group that nothing would stop them from achieving their aim ‘because nobody is above the law of the land’.
“All things being equal, we are set to write the Interpol about the current situation of things in Nigerian football.

“The letter is ready, by tomorrow (Thursday) we are taking it to the Interpol which is another drastic measure we are taking on the matter. I don’t think FIFA itself would encourage them disobeying the law of the land. Administration of football is quite different from an election.

“Everybody is entitled to their opinion, as far as we are concerned they don’t exist in the eye of the law and therefore we are not taking them serious. Let them do whatever they like, we are not bothered, instead; we are ready to follow this matter to the letter,” the source said on Thursday.
