Daniel, Ogalla and Matawalle

Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Gbenga Daniel, on Saturday, received a special award presented by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, during the Passing out Parade of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 34 Trainees in Onne, Rivers State.

Otunba Daniel, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy, attended the event as a special guest of honour.

The former Ogun governor lauded the lofty feats being achieved by the Navy under the leadership of the Chief of Naval Staff. He pledged that the National Assembly would continue to support the military service to deliver on its mandate.

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, was represented at the event by his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu.

Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency, Bello Matawalle, also graced the occasion. Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy, Sen. Abdulrahman Kawu, was also present at the occasion, amongst other dignitaries.
