Former Information Minister and governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarawa State, Mr. Labaran Maku, was on Friday granted the permission to inspect electoral materials used for the April 11 election.
The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Lafia, the state capital, granted the order against Governor Tanko al-Makura and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Halima Muhammed, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow Maku’s counsel inspect materials used during the election in the North-Central State.
The tribunal chairman warned counsel to both parties to expedite action on their argument because the 180 days given the tribunal to end the case was sacrosanct.
INEC counsel, Hassan Liman (SAN), assured that the commission would comply with the order.
