Nadal, Djokovic through at French Open

The King of Clay was on song at Roland Garros as Rafael Nadal eased into the French Open second round.
Rafael Nadal’s quest for a 10th French Open title started in straightforward fashion with victory over teenage wildcard Quentin Halys.
‘The King of Clay’ was true to his moniker with a 6-3 6-3 6-4 success against Halys, who made the first appearance at a grand slam of his young career on the famous Philippe Chatrier Court.
The defending champion hit 25 winners while Halys committed 52 unforced errors as Nadal cruised through to set up a second-round clash with Spanish compatriot Nicolas Almagro, who beat Alexandr Dolgopolov in four sets.
World number one Novak Djokovic is also into the second round following a 6-2 7-5 6-2 triumph versus Jarkko Nieminen.
Djokovic survived a scare by coming back from 5-2 down to win the second set and ease into a 4-0 lead in third before advancing.
Seventh seed David Ferrer had no difficulties in seeing off Lukas Lacko 6-1 6-3 6-1, the Spaniard’s 300th career win on clay ensuring a meeting
