Nadada assumes duty as Nasarawa CP

Mr Shehu Nadada, on Tuesday assumed duty as the 28th Commissioner of Police (CP) in Nasarawa State Command.

 

The Command’s spokesperson, Ramhan Nansel, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, in a statement in Lafia, said Nadada takes over from CP Mohammed  Maiyaki, who recently retired from service.

He said Nadada, until his deployment to Nasarawa State Command, was the CP in charge of Katsina State Command and had also served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State.

 

Nadada, who hails from Kano State was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on May 18, 1992 and had served at various capacity within the last 31 years.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degrees  (BSc) in Applied Biology from Bayero University, Kano, and Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University (A.B.U.), Zaria.

 

Nansel quoted the new CP while taking over the rein of leadership, as soliciting  the support and collaboration of member of the public to tackle crime and criminality in the state.

 

He also appealed to the public to provide the police with useful information to that would help to tackle  the spate of crimes in the state.
