Because of its inability to pay back an N11 billion loan it took from Union Bank, the Silverbird Group, owned by ‘common sense’ senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has been sealed by the Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON).

Some of the companies affected by the order are The Silverbird Mall, Silverbird Communications, Rhythm 93.7 FM and Silverbird Television.

Murray-Bruce represents Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Silverbird Group also has interests in real estate, supermarkets and entertainment companies.
