Former Nigerian International, Mutiu Adepoju, has been officially relieved of his duty as the Sole Administrator of Kwara Football Academy (KFA) by Harmony Holdings Limited after completing his two-year contract tenure at the Academy.
The former Shooting Stars midfielder made this known on Thursday during an interactive session with journalists at the Conference Room of the football academy in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The ex-international in his farewell speech, thanked God for a successful tenure and the grace to make positive impacts in the academy.

“During my tenure as the sole administrator of this great academy, we were able to make some progress and surpassed our expectations. We won the state league and represented Kwara at the federation cup, our coaches are trained and re-trained, and some of our exceptional players were sent abroad for trials with top clubs and some sold to Nigeria clubs for developmental programmes.

“Have never been in a place and my impact will not be felt, thou we faced a lot of challenges but we were able to overcome them. I know some would talk bad about me but am fulfilled within me and I don’t regret any of my decisions. If it is good or bad, I know I will be remember for something in the history of the school.

He however, thanked the state government for giving him the opportunity to contribute to the development of football in the state, and further advised them to keep funding and maintaining the facilities of the academy so as to achieve the goals and vision of the Africa best Football Academy.

Earlier, the Head of Corporate Affairs, Harmony Holdings Limited, Mr Kayode Aremu, praised Mutiu for his laudable contribution to the football school and acclaimed that all targets given to him when taken the job two years back was met and achieved.
