Musa pleased with brace against Barca

Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has spoken about his two goals for Leicester City on the club’s 2-4 loss to FC Barcelona at the International Champions Cup in Stockholm on Wednesday night.

Musa netted in the 47th and 67th minutes of the contest as the Foxes intensified their preparations for the start of the 2016/17 season.

The forward, who replaced Jamie Vardy on the stroke of half time, has now taken the time to discuss his performance against the Spanish champions, noting that, Leicester were unfortunate to lose on the night.

“We lost the game but we played very well. We played very well and had many opportunities to equalize in the second half but we lost. I thought we had a good game,” Musa told Leicester City Television.

The two goals Musa scored against FC Barcelona were his first for the club and he acknowledged that while he was happy to score, he would have preferred for Leicester to have avoided defeat against the Cules.

“I felt very happy scoring the two goals but I thought we could have done more. We have to continue working hard to achieve what we know we can. In the second half, we were very strong. We could have equalized in the second half but then, that’s football,” he said.
