Moses: Stoke’s survival uppermost

Super Eagles star, Victor Moses, has stated that he is focused on helping Stoke City finish well in the English Premiership instead of getting diverted on issues of transfer.

The 24-year-old has been on a season-long loan to the Potters from Chelsea and is now expected to return to his parent club at the end of this season.

Though Stoke City manager, Mark Hughes, is keen to keep Moses on a permanent deal, the attacking winger is only talking of giving his best to make sure the Potters finish in the top-eight of the Barclays Premier League.

Moses in his comments also left a tinge of expectation that he would love to stay at Stoke City after enjoying plenty of game time under Hughes.

“I just want to help Stoke as best as I can to finish as high as I can. As I’ve said before, I’m still a Chelsea player. I’m here to do a professional job for Stoke and will do my best to help them finish in the top eight. That’s my aim.

“It’s been nice to hear the manager say he’d like me to stay. He’s a great manager and he’s done well for this club.

“Before I came here I spoke to him and it looked like the club was heading in the right direction.

“That’s the main reason I came here on loan. I’m enjoying my football here and the style of play suits me,” said the former Crystal Palace man.

Moses has netted three goals and provided three assists in 18 league appearances for Stoke City this season.
