Minister to Pinnick: You talk too much

Amaju Pinnick

Youth and Sports Development Minister, Solomon Dalung, has blasted the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, calling him ‘a talkative who does not guard his public utterances on sensitive issues’.
“The minister is no-nonsense. He simply told Pinnick to watch his public utterances, saying he appears to react to everything and everybody and it appears he does not have a spokesperson, who ought to be doing the talking on his behalf,” an official of the ministry revealed.
“The minister said the frequent utterances by the NFF President have worked against his image and the way he is perceived by the public.”
It would be recalled that Pinnick lost his cool and called his main challenger, Chris Giwa, unprintable names when the minister attempted to reconcile the two personalities and their group of loyalists.
On Tuesday, a group of protesters gathered around the venue of the consultative meeting armed with placards demanding Pinnick to step down as the country’s football boss after the Eagles latest failure under his leadership.
Pinnick, former Delta State FA Chairman, has insisted he will not quit.
