Mimiko threatens to sue APC Publicity Secretary over ‘false allegations against Buhari’

Mimiko

1. My attention has just been drawn to a publication titled, ‘How Mimiko funded the certificate legal warfare against Buhari,’ circulated in many online platforms, and said to be contained in a book (soon to be presented to the public) authored by Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, onetime Minister in the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, and currently the Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC).

2. In the said publication, specific allegations were levied against my person. For example, there was the claim that ‘Mimiko decided to take matters into his own hands by funding a myriad of lawsuits to disqualify Buhari using Ondo State funds …’

3. I wish to state unequivocally that I was neither instrumental to the institution nor funding of any such lawsuits. I also categorically deny all other claims related to me in the said publication. The allegations are untrue, malicious and wicked.

4. I really can still not fathom why the author of the said publication will choose to resort to this falsehood against my person.

5. That said, I hasten to add that I am at the moment in contact with my lawyers, exploring avenues of legal redress against the author, and publisher of the book containing these false allegations.

Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
