Lagos-based Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC, on Sunday, recorded another home win, this time over visiting Bendel Insurance FC with 2-0.
The match was played under the watchful eyes of the Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr in company of the U-21 chief coach, Imama Amapakabo in Lagos.
The Olukoya Boys did not only record a clean sheet but also maintained the 100 per cent home record in the Match Day 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
A header from Abisoye Olawale in 40th minute and Micheal Ohanus in the 58th minute were enough to condemn the Benin Arsenal to their second defeat of the season.
Speaking on the sidelines of the match, Olawale said though the team had been able to sustain the winning tempo, it would be too early to consider them as title contenders.
“We have been going well in the league, but that does not mean that we are title contenders yet. We have a long way to go, we will take the matches as they come.
“We can only get better with the support of our fans behind us. This victory will help our morale; maybe we can have a shot at the continental championships again.
“We are young and maybe not too experienced in the league. What we have achieved so far was a collective effort which is the most important thing that keeps us going,” he said.
