Floyd Mayweather may have faced criticism for his choice of opponent recently, but it doesn’t seem to bother him judging by his Instagram feed.
“I’m just gonna pack light for this trip #AirMayweather,” reads the caption of the image of the boxer packing loads of cash.
This followed up a post featuring expensive-looking jewellery from earlier in the day (below), under the caption “I like to call these 9 diamond necklaces: 9 LIVES.”
Mayweather will face Andre Berto on September 12, as he looks to equal Rocky Marciano’s all-time record of 49-0.
Berto has lost three out of his last six fights, making the undefeated Mayweather a huge favourite to win.
He has said it will be his last fight, but boxing commentators are not taking this seriously with the amount of money Mayweather could make for a chance to go 50-0.
Britian’s Amir Khan was also ready to fight, with many classing the two-time world champion as a tougher opponent than Berto.
Mayweather topped the Forbes rich list for sports stars in June, having pocketed $300 million (Dh1.1b) over the last 12 months, mainly from his controversial bout with Pacquiao.
The Filipino was accused of hiding an injury prior to the May 2 fight, which the American won comprehensively on points.
