Antoine Semenyo was the hero of the FA Cup final match between Manchester City and Chelsea on Saturday.

The Ghanaian international scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute as City defeated Chelsea 1-0 to lift the cup at the Wembley Stadium.
His sublime flick secured victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Haaland crossed low into the box, Semenyo held off Levi Colwill and glanced the ball inside the far corner with a clip of his right heel.
Chelsea had earlier seen a goal-bound Moises Caicedo header cleared away by Rodri and Enzo Fernandez flicked onto the roof of the net as they sought an equaliser.
But for all their efforts to limit City, this was a fifth-straight Wembley final without a goal.

As well as missing out on the trophy, Chelsea have also missed out on Europa League.

It is Manchester City’s second trophy of the season after defeating Arsenal to the Carabao Cup in March.

Manchester City

City are still in position for a third trophy for the season as they trail Arsenal by two points in the EPL title race going into the last two games of the season.

Captain Bernardo Silva described the victory as special for him as he leaves the Club at the end of the season.

“It is just special to me in my last season to give them another trophy”

For Chelsea, the lost means their hope for European football is now slimmer as they are ninth-placed on the Premier League table.
