The Police Command in Benue State has confirmed the arrest of one Matthew Bem for stabbing his wife to death during a fight in Korinya, Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA) of the state, on Tuesday.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Sewuese Anene, confirmed the development in Makurdi.
Anene said the victim, Mngusonun Bem, was stabbed by her husband during an argument and she died shortly afterwards.
“He was fighting with his wife and he stabbed her during the fight and she died.
Mr Bem was arrested and is in police custody. Investigation is ongoing”.
