Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of an Ikeja High Court has ordered that a man, Moses Joseph, be remanded in custody over allegation that he assaulted a 13-year-old minor by allegedly inserting his finger in her vagina.
Moses was also accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with his victim (name withheld).
Though, Joseph pleaded not guilty to the two count offences preferred against him, he was, however, ordered to be remanded in correctional centre pending his bail application.
His two count charge reads partly:
“That you Moses Joseph forced your way on a Minor 13-year-old (name withheld) by inserting your fingers into her private part and forcing her to suck your manhood.”
“That you Moses Joseph had sexual knowledge of a 13-year-old minor ( name withheld).”
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the crimes. He was then ordered to be remanded in custody by presiding judge.
The defendant was said to have committed the offence on the “17th September, 2020, about 11:00p.m at 25, Kadiri Street, Alausa, Ikeja Lagos State within the Ikeja Judicial Division indulged in the act of indecent treatment of the girl (names withheld) by putting his finger in her vagina and making her suck his penis.”
The second charge read that the defendant, ”On the 17th September, 2020, at about 11:00p.m at 25, Kadiri Street, Alausa, Ikeja Lagos State within the Ikeja Judicial Division defiled (names witheld) by having unlawful sexual intercourse with her.”
The case was adjourned to November 9, for trial.
