A father of five, Ndubisi Uwadiegwu, has allegedly beaten his wife, Ogochukwu Enene, to death over a loaf of bread.

Ogochukwu, who hailed from Umuokpu village, Awka, Anambra State, was a mother of five. An online notice posted on Sunday by her first son, who is 14 years, said their father, who hails from Enugu State, beat their mother to death with mirror, because she asked him to buy bread for them but he said he had no money.

According to the son, his mother decided to use her money to buy one loaf of bread for the children, but the father went into the kitchen and ate the whole bread without giving the children.
When their mother asked him why he finished the bread, he started beating her and it led to her death.

A woman close to the deceased said the incident happened in Lagos.
She said the deceased was the Senior Prefect of Amenyi Girls Secondary School in year 2000.
She called for justice saying, “Please Ndi Awka umunnem Old girls Association of GSSA, Ogochukwu needs justice”.
