Buhari, PDP condole with Makarfi over father’s death

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has decried the avoidable loss of lives in Benue, Rivers and Taraba states.

Last week, killers, believed to be herdsmen and cultists, struck in the affected states, killing close to 100 Nigerians.

Makarfi, the immediate past National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who just returned from vacation abroad, described as unacceptable a situation in which innocent Nigerians would be killed by blood-thirsty maniacs.

Urging the Federal Government to fully work hand in hand with governors of the affected states to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators as well as restore full normalcy and security, he urged all well-meaning Nigerians “to help in fully securing every nook and cranny of our country”.
