The Lux Terra Leadership Foundation (LTLF), has began the training of stakeholders on skills and tools’ sensitization on the evils of sexual and gender-based violence.
The training is the first in a series being organized by the foundation.
LTLF is a Nigerian non-profit organization, committed to the positive transformation of the Nigerian society through research, documentation, training, and advocacy.
The workshop, which was held in Abuja on Wednesday, aims at drawing up a variety of intervention strategies and mechanisms to achieve the much required attitudinal, behavioral and cultural change towards eliminating the vice.
Participants at the workshop were clerics and lay leaders of Christian Churches and institutions, drawn from across the country.
Present at the opening ceremony were Most Rev. Anselm Umoren, Auxiliary Bishop of Abuja, representative of Dame Pauline Tallen, the Minister of Women Affairs, as well as other stakeholders.
The program aims at training and equipping 360 advocates for the elimination of sexual and gender-based violence in Nigeria over the next three years.
