*Inter Miami star joins rescue operation while enjoying MLS post-season break in Uruguay with wife

Luis Suarez and his wife helped talk a man out of suicide after joining the 20-hour rescue attempt.
The Liverpool and Barcelona legend became an unlikely hero while back in his homeland of Uruguay.
Reports have emerged that claim a 49-year-old man had climbed a six-metre-high tree with a rope and threatened to jump.
He was supposedly demanding that his partner, a 53-year-old woman, arrived at the scene.
Suarez and his wife, Sofia Balbi, were out for a walk along the Solymar promenade on Friday when they saw the incident.
It has been reported that the 37-year-old striker spoke to the man, encouraging him to come down.
The Liverpool and Barcelona legend became an unlikely hero while back in his homeland of Uruguay.
Andrea, who is from the group that saved him, told local media: “Suarez, a well-known Uruguayan player, approached us.
“What we did was, during that time of containment, try to talk in an empathetic and close way so that it wouldn’t be so long, even though this man has been there fighting for his life since yesterday.”
The man has now been handed over to a professional care unit.
