Nigeria’s digital transformation leader, Globacom, has rolled out a brand new data plan as part of its elaborate programme to make life easier for Nigerians who are currently holed up at home following the restriction imposed by the government to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The new offering is called Sunday Data Plan. It gives subscribers a whopping 1.25Gb of data on Sunday to chat, browse, stream and connect with other subscribers across the networks for 24 hours for the paltry sum of N200.
Globacom said in a statement on Saturday that the plan was meant to empower its subscribers with more data to do all they love to do without caring about data insufficiency.
To enjoy the offering, all a customer needs to do is to dial *777# and go to “Night and Weekend” tab or visit http://hsi.glo.com and follow the instructions.
Globacom assures its subscribers of excellent service delivery made possible on its nationwide 4G services backed by its intercontinental undersea cable, Glo 1.
“COVID-19 is wreaking havoc across the world. It is also forcing people to stay indoors. Working from home across industries is now becoming prevalent and Globacom, as a responsible telecom operator, continues to ensure quality network experience for its customers across the country especially as the people are forced to work from home,” the statement added.
The company advised Nigerians to abide by the rules and guidelines rolled out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other relevant authorities to curtail the spread of the pandemic provided.
“Our primary focus at Globacom is to ensure that all Nigerians remain safe to support their families and the economy. We urge everyone to stay aware of updated practices and strategies to combat Corona virus. These are trying times. However, we are confident we will overcome. Stay connected, safety for all”, Globacom added.
