LMC plans big for NPFL legend Victor Ezeji

Organisers of Nigeria’s apex domestic football League, League Management Company Limited (LMC) have revealed that they have in stock great plans to celebrate and honour veteran player and league legend, Victor Ezeji, as he retires after two decades of meritorious service in the Nigeria premiership League.
Chairman of the League Management Company, Mallam Shehu Dikko, disclosed this on Thursday while featuring as a guest on a television programme monitored in Lagos.
The LMC boss, who spoke on a wide range of issues as it affects the successes and future progress of the NPFL League, recalled how the LMC ensured that Victor Ezeji was registered for Heartland of Owerri last season for him to make the historic 20 -year record of play in the NPFL.

Dikko added that the LMC have put in place several plans to bring Ezeji on board in the League programs and activities as a way of celebrating and honoring him to serve as a role model and motivation for other players.

According to him: “Yes we have plans to bring him on board, we are proud of him as a role model, we will honour and celebrate him to motivate others and above all for his discipline and education which we want other players to emulate . Again he was not too much in a hurry to go and play abroad” he said.

Meanwhile in a related development, the Association of NPFL club chairmen and Managers (Club Owners) have enjoined Players plying their trade under the Nigeria professional Football league NPFL and other leagues in the country to emulate the high level of professionalism exhibited by veteran Nigeria League Legend victor Ezeji who retired recently from active soccer after 20 years of Play in the domestic league.

A statement by the Association in Abuja on Thursday jointly signed by the Chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka salute the courage, discipline and exemplary exploits of Victor Ezeji whom they described as a true Legend of the NPFL.

The Association urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the League Management Company LMC, the sports writers Association of Nigeria SWAN and other relevant bodies to honour and celebrate Ezeji to serve as a motivation for younger and upcoming players.
