A Lagos lawmaker, Mr Segun Olulade, on Tuesday commiserated with the popular Nollywood actor, Prince Jide Kosoko, over the death of his wife, Henrietta Kosoko.

Henrietta, 53, an actress, was said to have slumped and later died on Monday.

Olulade, the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Health Services, condoled with the Kosoko family in a statement in Ikeja.

The lawmaker, who represents Epe Constituency II at the Assembly, described the incident as “unfortunate’’.

“The death of Henrietta came as a rude shock. Receiving the news of her death yesterday came as a shock.

“It is very unfortunate and saddening that she had to die at a time when the family still wants her very much around.

“This is a woman who has played a vital role in the development of the entertainment industry in Nigeria. I am very sure that Nollywood will miss her expertise.

“I commiserate with Kosoko family and I pray that the Almighty God will grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,’’ Olulade said.

The lawmaker also commiserated with Nollywood, especially the Yoruba movie industry, on the loss of one of them. ‘
