Authorities of the Lagos State University (LASU) have suspended the institution’s Acting Director of Sports, Dr John Adeogun, for allegedly relinquishing his official responsibilities.
The suspension is contained in the university’s official bulletin on Friday in Lagos.

The bulletin said the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, had approved an immediate suspension of Adeogun.

Adeogun doubles as Assistant-Director at the Agege Campus of the university.

“Adeogun remains suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation into the allegations levelled against him.

“The suspension of the director came on the heels of allegations of relinquishing his official responsibility,’’ the bulletin stated.

Adeogun was also alleged to be involving a non-LASU staff in conducting sensitive official assignments.

“Consequently, Adeogun has been directed to hand over his official positions to the director of external system and the chairman, sports management board respectively, ’’ the publication stated.

Adeogun is a lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Sports at LASU.
