The Lagos State University (LASU) on Monday began the maiden academic session of its International Secondary School with 20 teachers and 40 students.
The school’s Principal, Mr Taiwo Odumbo, confirmed in Lagos that academic work had commenced with the required facilities .
“We have all the required facilities for the smooth take-off of academic activities in the school.
“These include ‎a standard library, laboratory, computer and staff room, ‎among others,’’ Odumbo said.
‎
He said that the teachers employed by the management of LASU were all seasoned professionals and had officially reported for work on September 14.
‎
“All our teachers are Master Degree holders in Education and are on ground because we are setting an international standard to groom sound minds and future leaders. ‎
‎
“For a start, the school was admitting students from the foundational class only, which is the Junior Secondary School (JSS) one and the Senior School School (SSS) one,’’ Odumbo daid.

He urged parents and guardians to utilise the opportunity and enrol their wards in the school for better academic pursuit and sound character building.

“We have pegged the tuition fee at a reasonable and affordable price for all, even as we strive to give only the best,’’ he said.

‎Meanwhile, the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olanre‎waju Fagbohun, said that the institution would continue to maintain best practices in terms of academics ‎and service delivery.‎
‎
Fagbohun said that only the best candidates would be enrolled into the school to maintain the standard set for it.
