LASU confers honorary degree on popular industrialist, Prince Samuel Adedoyin

It was a day of honour for popular industrialist, businessman and philanthropist, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, on Thursday, as the Lagos State University (LASU) conferred an honorary degree on him.

Prince Adedoyin was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Commerce, Industry and National Development) Honoris Causa,” at the 27th Convocation of the university.

The Chief Executive Officer of Doyin Investment Limited, who recently donated a one-storey ICT Building to the university, was the cynosure of all eyes during the epoch-making event as he was praised endlessly for his philanthropic activities.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State thanked Adedoyin for supporting the university financially and urged others to emulate him.

A total of 153 out of the 8,670 students graduated with first class and 98 doctoral degree holders also graduated during the convocation ceremony.

Former Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN), delivered the convocation lecture titled, “Embracing the Future: Navigating the Intersection of Technology and Humanity”.

Sanwo-Olu gave N10 million to the best graduating student.
