The Lagos State Government has announced a night traffic diversion at Fadeyi inward Donmanlong and Donmanlong inward Ojuelegba, for the installation of truck barriers.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said this in a statement on Friday in Lagos.

Osiyemi noted that the diversion would be between Saturday Jan. 10 by 10.00 p.m. and Sunday Jan. 11 by 6.00 a.m.

“Consequently, motorists are advised to use the highlighted route during the night time installation of the barriers.

“Motorists from Fadeyi Donmanlong Bridge/Ayilara inbound Ojuelegba are to make use of the service lane from Fadeyi/Jibowu/Empire/Donmanlong to link Barracks to access their desired destinations,” he said.

Osiyemi implored motorists to be patient at the installation area.

He said the brief closure of the bridge planned for night time was part of traffic management strategy to avert accidents and loss of lives.

He further urged motorists to stop vandalism and damage of truck barriers.
