LASCOFED President-elect seeks justice from Sanwo-Olu

The president elect of Lagos State Cooperative Federation (LASCOFED) has called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to rescue the cooperative from being hijacked by some elders.
Mr. Victor Oyegoke, who spoke on behalf of the president on Monday at a protest at Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, said “we would like to bring to the notice of the Executive Governor of Lagos State the grave injustice that was perpetrated against the will of the Cooperators who on August 27, voted into office the first female president of (LASCOFED)”.
He said the election was won by Mrs. Temitope, but surprisingly, some people started making moves to manipulate the result of the election that brought her in based on the not-so-altruistic intentions of the outgone president of LASCOFED one  Mr. Tajudeen Oriyomi Ayeola from Epe Division in connivance with some people  called “cooperative elders.”
“The point made by the so-called cooperative elders was that a woman cannot be president.  This is discrimination against women in this age where women are leading in Politics and Business. They also claimed that she is being sponsored by the Wife of the Governor to amass more political powers for her husband.
The so called “cooperative elders” are also circulating fake election results around and making unsubstantiated claims of a purported victory to mislead the great Cooperators in the State.
She said: “I remain committed to conflict resolution as enshrined in the law. I have petitioned the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives and I believe justice would be served accordingly.”
