Lagos Speaker Obasa impeached, Mojisola Miranda leads 40-member Assembly (see pix)

Embattled Speaker of Lagos State House Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, has been impeached.

Obasa, from Agege, was impeached on Monday.
He was replaced by Hon Mojisola Miranda (Apapa State Constituency I).
Nee Ojora, she was sworn-in immediately to lead the 40-member House.
She is also a former Chief Whip of the House.

The lawmakers accused Obasa of multiple statutory and financial infractions involving more than N40 billion.
