Good times are here for Lagosians as the blue-line light rail being constructed on the Lagos-Badagry corridor will transport 400,000 passengers per day, reducing the stress they encounter on the road.
Within 20 minutes, the rail will cover a distance of 27.5 kilometres with 13 stations involved.
Freedom Online learnt that the project is one of the seven rail lines captured in the Lagos Urban Rail Network and Inter-modality Public Transportation Masterplan.
To be covered in the masterplan are routes stretching from Agbado to Marina, Iddo, Lagos Airport Road, Marina, Lekki, Otta, Iddo, Redeemed and Ojo.
Electric coaches to be deployed to the rail line could last 50 years.
