There was pandemonium in Lagos on Saturday when a businessman and hotelier, A.O. Akinyele, slumped and died.
The tragedy happened during the 60th birthday party of his wife, Catherine, in Egbeda area of the state.
Akinyele had just unveiled a brand new Toyota Highlander SUV he bought for his wife to mark the event.
Then, it was time for singing and dancing.
The wife discussed with him briefly on stage and a few seconds later, he slumped.
Attempts to revive him were futile.
The wife and a few others were already crying.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
