Lai Mohammed: We will dismantle Saraki’s rigging machinery in Kwara

Lai Mohammed

OUR POSITION ABOUT CURRENT STATE OF THE PARTY AND ISSUES RAISED BY FEW AGGRIEVED MEMBERS OF STATE EXECUTIVES OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS, APC, KWARA STATE CHAPTER AGAINST THE STATE CHAIRMAN, HONORABLE BASHIR OMOLAJA BOLARINWA, (BOB) AND SOME OTHER NOTABLE LEADERS OF THE PARTY DATED 28TH FEBRUARY, 2020

Our attention was called to some mischievous tirades branded as press conference orchestrated by few individuals who claim to be members of state executives of our party, APC. These misguided individuals have since chosen to be acting divisive script of their sponsor, targetting our hardworking state Chairman, Honorable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa , the Honorable Minister of Information and Culture , Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and other notable leaders of our party who have invested their times, energies and resources to ensure our party reclaimed the state from the shackles of oppressors but have today become targets of their daily verbal missiles.
This is a clear case of an ingrate king who go for the jugular of those who made him.

First, we want everyone to know that this is not the first time these desperate stomach infrastructure and appointment seekers who now describe themselves as aggrieved persons will be throwing illogical allegations drawn from their dirty speculations against the party Chairman with sinister motives to heat up party politics, stir up the chairman’s emotions so as to give their power-obsessed sponsor avenue to dismantle the validly-constituted party structures and replace with their co-desperate stomach infrastructure, appointment-seeking parasites

What makes these lowlife individuals think the audience they addressed in their press conference are as unintelligent as they are remains a big puzzle which only they can answer.
We make it bold to tell them that Honourable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, an experience party man and an advocate of party disciplines and supremacy, understands all their evil plots and will never be distracted by sponsored attacks of few frustrated elements acting scripts of their sponsor within the party .

We, therefore, found it very imperative to respond to these people not because they have any reasonable content but to prevent members of our party from being misled into turning villains into heroes and or twisting facts that are not hidden to entire Kwara public.

1. ALLEGATIONS OF FINANCIAL MISAPPROPRIATION AND LACK OF FISCAL DISCIPLINE

A. It is so tiring that these people keep exposing themselves to public ridicule with their unintelligent speculations that BOB mismanaged the party funds which came in form of donations and was not transparent in management of same.

B. How else will Bolarinwa be expected to be transparent when the party operating guidelines require not less than three (3) party officials including the Secretary who is part of these aggrieved excos to sign cheque books?

C. Why will a Party Secretary, Salman Ishowo, who is a key signatory to party’s financial records and cheque books, claim ignorance of how donations from aspirants were expended ?

D. In addition to being a key signatory to all party’s accounts, Salman Ishowo, one of these people, is also the only receiver of the account transaction alert from banks on behalf of the party.

E. Where then is sincerity in their agitations when they turned their backs to deny party’s decision which they were not only part of but also benefitted from?

F. The State Chairman, Bolarinwa, who is found to have been rejecting valuable gifts and gratification from aspirants, cannot be alleged of misappropriating party fund which has a record.

G. It is also on good record that the party conducted primaries which was fully sponsored by the state as it was open and verifiable that no kobo came from the national headquarters for that purpose. Special thanks for the efforts and the pro activenesss of the
state leadership (Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the State Chairman Bolarinwa) that our primaries did not end up the way of Zamfara State.

2. INABILITY TO SECURE BEFITTING PARTY SECRETARIAT

A. One of the issues raised in their press conference which caught us in absolute bewilderment is that of the party’s inability to secure a befitting party Secretariat. Could these so-called aggrieved persons be truly worried about a befitting secretariat for the party? Are they just waking up to this reality?

B. If truly they are just waking up with a sincere thirst for better office Secretariat after a year of receiving elections donations as they claimed, then why can’t they be magnanimous to table it before the Governor to whom they are playing loyalty to help the party secure a new accommodation?

C. We also wish to put it to them that the state Secretary, Mr Salman Mustapha Ishowo who oversaw all banks alerts of aspirants’ donations to tell us which of the donations made by aspirants was taken away by the party Chairman for his own personal use which had hindered them from securing office accommodation of their choice since over a year ago.

D. If the secretary of the party who keeps records of all party’s transactions could be in this league of sponsored jesters and would not be able to provide substantiated evidence of where the Chairman collected any of the aspirants donations himself, we see their allegations as clear case of character assassination and image laundering of an innocent party Chairman whose hardworks and commitment earned the party an unimaginable success at the last elections.

3. ALLEGATION OF REFUSAL TO CONDUCT FINANCIAL AUDIT

A. This is another gimmick aimed at distorting available records of fact and malign the personality of Bolarinwa to score cheap political points to please their divisive paymaster sponsoring them for pull him down purpose

B. It is well stated in our party constitution that the party’s account will be audited annually by the State Auditor joined with an External Auditor who is to be appointed by the State Working Committee of the party. The party constitution already envisages this kind of situation to prevent a biased Auditor like Oladokun having a field day.

C. In our own case here in Kwara, the State Auditor has left his primary assignments undone to pursue fruitless impeachment agenda against the Chairman for no just cause.

D. We recall how the State Auditor, Mr Oladokun busied himself holding clandestine meetings against the Chairman just six months of their tenure even before taking a look at the party’s account. It is well known to us who Oladokun sponsors are and their meeting point at International Tobacco Centre Guest House (ITC) where they perpetrated all their defeated evil plots against an innocent party Chairman.

E. It is safe to conclude that the Chairman has not been the one frustrating the party’s audit process but the incompetency and insincerity of the Auditor, pursuit of needless vendetta are responsible for his failure.

F. It is also important to state that all the records of the party’s financial transactions are correct, up to date and intact. So, let’s abide by the party constitution.

4. To round up this conversation, we make bold to say that these gluttonous desperate appointment seekers who called themselves aggrieved exco members are only crying wolf where there is none.

B. They are a group of shameless people who are after nothing but selfish agenda and this makes them ready tools in the hands of their Big Master who thrives only in an unsettled environment.

C. These are sets of people who have no principle nor iota of integrity but what determines where they pitch their tent is where their bread is best buttered.

D. As gathered, none of these people has ever raised any of the issues raised in their cosmetic press conference in any of our party’s meetings, including the issue of auditing.

E. Unfortunately for them, they have put the cart before the horse. In trying to justify their failed impeachment coup, they embark on all sorts desperate moves to bring down the party and the Chairman.

F. As their Big Master is busy funding e-rats to distort facts and peddle all sorts of lies on social media to mislead Kwarans, the so-called Party Publicity Secretary left his job to become AA Publicity Secretary and busy running down the party with his unguarded comments everywhere. Time will definitely tell !
G. If the Enugbe Aggrieved Exco members see nothing wrong with how the party and those who suffered to instal this government is being downgraded, alienated and maltreated, then they are not worthy of holding exco positions in this party.

H. A genuine party member will not frown at the present exercise being embarked upon by the state executives ably led by the State Chairman, Bashir Bolarinwa. Or why should visitation aimed at strengthening the party be a problem to them if they are not having a hidden agenda?

I. In conclusion , it is left for these aggrieved and their big Master to let the sleeping dog lie and give peace a chance in the party. At least, if Bolarinwa cannot be appreciated for the sacrifices he has made to get the party to this height, he should not be ridiculed or embarrassed in return for
his good deeds.
We advise these “political parasites and stomach first politicians” allow us to keep our party together under the leadership of Honorable Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) whom we are still enjoying his services as competent state Chairman .

Thank you!

Abdullahi Yinka Onimasa – National Coordinator

Kayode Aliyu Bamidele – Publicity Secretary
