The Kwara APC Integrity Vanguards (KAIV) has expressed worry over the claims of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, the governor of Kwara State via his verified Twitter handles over the viral videos where a rickety vehicle painted like an Ambulance conveyed some personnel to pick up a suspected Covid-19 patients from one of the communities in Ilorin, the state capital.
The video, which went viral some days back, revealed how shambolic all anti Covid-19 exercise is being handled by Kwara State Government to the world as unprotected personnel riding on rickety vehicle were handling a patient suspected to be Coronavirus invested persons.
Following this ugly development, the Governor publicly admitted failures of his government on all his verified social media handles .
As a group of progressive individuals within the circle of the ruling party , the All Progressive Congress in Kwara State, we feel heavily disturbed and highly disappointed that all these incompetence, cluelessness in experience and insensitivity are coming to public glare at a time when our government will soon be celebrating one year of inauguration in office.
This we feel should be a point of concern to every right thinking APC member in Kwara State and the top hierarchy of the party in Abuja who were part of the struggle for emancipation of the state from the grip of the long years of the Saraki dynasty . As a progressive group , we will not keep mum while watching one unmerited opportunist who was only imposed by Abuja cabals against the popular wish of the people and stakeholders in APC .
It is on this note we want to make it very clear to Kwara people that the maladministration and mis-governance they are observing today in the state is a total deviation from the mantra of Otoge movement which symbolises the reasons for mass movements of kwara progressives into APC shortly before the last 2019 general elections
It is evident today that if the party’s primaries had been left uninfluenced to produce one among the likes of Professor Oba Abdulraheem , the young and vibrant Honorable Hakeem Lawal, Honorable Moshood Mustapha , Mallam Gobir Sulyman , Lukman Mustapha etc who are proven to be scholars and people of sound intellects, Kwara State would have moved in tandem with lay down visions of the progressives who moved en mass to APC to dislodge the saraki dynasty .
The Abuja cabals who were responsible for the imposition of the Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq on APC Kwara should therefore be held responsible if anything goes wrong with APC in Kwara State as we have projected in our letter to President Muhammadu Buhari
As a group , we have critically researched all the Governors in Nigeria based on their academic qualifications and we found out our darling state of kwara houses the least educated Governor all through the federation as Abdulrahaman is the only Governor in Nigeria whose highest qualification is an ordinary “School Cert” which is even riddled with controvery, therefore abnormal to expect positive development from a character with such a stunted educational background and lacks any viable administrative experience except managing ( a brief Case Oil Firm ” First Fuel with no existing structure
On a final note, as a group , we hail the guts of Honorable Saheed Popoola, Comrade Musbau Eshinrogunjo and that of Chief Iyiola Oyedepo Akogun who had summoned courage to speak up against the current embarrassment we call our government .We encourage other stakeholders in the party to continue to speak against Abdulrahaman misgovernance so that posterity will judge the party right at any time when kwarans demand for account of our individual roles.
