PIC. 7. ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO (R), TAKING OATH OF OFFICE AS GOVERNOR OF KOGI AT HIS INAUGURATION, BEFORE THE CHIEF JUDGE OF THE STATE, JUSTICE NASIRU AJANA, IN LOKOJA ON WEDNESDAY (27/1/16). 0504/27/1/2016/BJO/NAN

All Progressives Congress ( APC) youths from the 21 local government areas in Kogi State have expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Yahaya Bello to move the state forward.
Addressing a press conference in Lokoja on Monday, the youths, led by the state Youth Leader of the APC, Mr Emmanuel Ayo, said that the governor had performed well since assumption of office in January, to earn their confidence.

They described the governor as a loyal party man who had done his best for the party and its members, especially youths in the state.

They described as untrue, reports that the State Executive Council of the party had passed a vote of no confidence on the governor, saying that there was never a time the issue was discussed and such a position taken.

Mr Ohiwe Abubakar , Mr Abdulahi Abdulrhaman and Mr Osuku Dauda from Kogi Central, Kogi East and Kogi West senatorial districts, who also spoke at the occasion, dissociated themselves from the purported vote of no confidence passed on the governor by the State
Executive of the party.

The youths urged Bello to be focused and continue the good work he had started.

They reaffirmed their loyalty to the party and urged members to sheathe their swords and join hands with the governor in developing the state.
