The Ukrainian armed forces says it has lost about 345 soldiers, two tanks, 27 armoured fighting vehicles in the Russian border region of Kursk within the last 24 hours.
The Russian Defence Ministry said this on Tuesday in a statement.
According to the ministry, also included are a Tunguska anti-aircraft air defence system, 24 motor vehicles, four field artillery guns and two mortars destroyed.
The ministry estimated that since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk direction, Kiev had lost more than 57,330 military personnel, 331 tanks, 244 infantry fighting vehicles and 192 armoured personnel carriers.
The ministry also said that 1,708 armored fighting vehicles and 1,798 motor vehicles had also been lost.
