Keshi claims new deal from NFF

Super Eagles chief coach, Stephen Keshi, has revealed that he has been offered a new contract by the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and he is at the moment studying the details of the contract.
Keshi said: “I received an email message from the president of the Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday night which contained the contract.”
The former Eagles of Mali and Hawks of Togo coach dismissed claims of a salary slash. It was reported earlier in the week that NFF had slashed Keshi’s monthly salary by N2 million, reducing his latest package to N3 million monthly.
He said: “I am still studying the contract, but I can tell you that reports of a slash to my monthly take-home are not true. The NFF have offered the same amount I was earning when I took the team to the World Cup in Brazil, which was N5 million.”
On Thursday, Keshi, for the third time in a roll, lost out in the race to coach South Africa, Equatorial Guinea and lately Burkina Faso, which opted for German coach Gernot Rohr. Rohr had earlier handled Niger Republic and Gabon.
