KDSG reiterates commitment to promote sports as business

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna state, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, has reiterated state government’s commitment to promote sports development from leisure to business.
The deputy governor made this known when she received Mr. Leke James, a Kaduna-born International Footballer and his team in her office on Monday in Kaduna.
She expressed government’s commitment to support any development initiatives by individuals and organizations,
According to her, “the Kaduna State Government is open for partnerships and collaboration because we believe that we cannot do it alone.
In his remarks, Mr James, founder of Leke James Grassroots Soccer Foundation, based in Kaduna, said he organizes football tournaments to source for local talents and link them with foreign clubs.
Leke informed the deputy governor that the fourth edition of the foundation’s football tournament is underway and stated his readiness to partner and collaborate with the government on sports development.
The event was attended by the Principal Private Secretary to Gov. Uba Sani, Prof. Bello Ayuba, and the Permanent Secretaries in the Ministries of Sports Development, Education and Business Innovation and Technology.
