Katsina governor pledges support for NYSC

Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State has promised to give all the necessary support to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the State.

Radda gave the assurance on Friday in Katsina during the swearing in of 1,070 Corps members for the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream II.

The Corps members, comprising 575 males and 495 females had been sworn in by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Musa Abubakar-Danladi, who administered the Oath of allegiance.

Represented by Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu, the State Commissioner  for Youths and Sports Development, Radda reiterated commitment of his administration to the security and welfare of the Corps members serving in the state.

The governor charged the Corps members to imbibe the spirit of discipline and hard work to achieve success in life.

He also admonished them to be of good behavior, law abiding, discipline, resourceful, and to begin to plan on how best to contribute to the growth and development of the economy of the state and Nigeria in general.

The governor further applauded the Federal Government and the scheme for the creation of the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program.

The federal government the SAED program to equip the Corps members with relevant skills to enable them to become self-reliant.

The NYSC Coordinator in the state, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, commended the state government and people of the state for their support to the scheme.

While advising the Corps members to appreciate and understand their critical roles as change agents, Muhammad charged them to discharge their duties diligently in their places of primary assignment.
