“He was enlisted into the Nigeria Correctional Service, Kano Command, on Dec. 31, 1991 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent.

“While assuming duty, the new controller solicited the support and cooperation of the officers and men of the command to enable him deliver on the desired goals of the command and the service in general.

“Inuwa appreciated the entire personnel of the command for the warm reception accorded him and enjoined them to put all hands on deck towards assisting the inmates as well as those on non-custodial sentence,” the statement said.

It added that the new controller also called on sister security agencies in the state to work hand-in-hand with the command to sustain the security strength of the state.
