Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved the appointment of Malam Bashir Zuntu as the new Accountant General of the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Muhammad Shehu, on Thursday in Kaduna.
According to the statement, Zuntu is a Chartered Accountant, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, and an astute administrator.
The statement said Zuntu has served as Senior Accountant at the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, and Senior Accountant at the Finance and Accounts Department of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
Additionally, he was a former Legislative Aide in the House of Representatives and served as Executive Chairman of Kubau Local Government Area of the state from 2021 to 2023.
According to the statement, Zuntu has skills and competencies in Financial Management, Financial Inclusion and Public Administration, and Strategy Development and Implementation.
